Camp & Create
1 April - 1 May 2026 (come for an afternoon or stay for the month)
Combining a retreat, regional burn (more collaborative creativity, less performance and all-night party), and experiment in what happens when we slow down and have space and time to connect deeply with the land and each other.
In an uncertain world, we are grateful for every moment, especially when we get to share precious time co-creating with you.
A Day @ Camp & Create
While every day will have its own organic flow, we’re holding a simple, nourishing rhythm:
Morning: Ground & Nourish
- Greet the day with gentle yoga in the forest (all levels, super welcome to modify or simply sit and breathe).
- Share a plant-based breakfast potluck – fruit, oatmeal, tea, simple nourishment from many hands.
- Set your intention for the day: connect, create, help, or simply listen to the wind in the trees.
Daytime: Explore, Build, and Create
Choose your own adventure:
Explore the land
Wander the trails, sit by the water, journal under the trees, or simply lie in the grass and watch the sky shift.Help us build
Join in on our living, breathing projects as we:- Build out the bathhouse
- Work on the outdoor kitchen
- Tend the sanctuary with earth-honoring care
No construction experience needed. There’s something for all bodies and abilities, and consent + comfort are core values here.
Make art & play
Bring your paints, instruments, notebooks, fiber arts, cameras, clay, or simply your hands and heart.
Use the time and space to:- Start or finish a creative project
- Collaborate with others
- Let the forest inspire something new
Evening: Potluck, Fire, and Stars
As the light softens, we gather again:
- Share a plant-based dinner potluck – simple, cozy, and community-made.
- Circle around the campfire as day turns to star-sparkled night.
- Share music, stories, games, poetry, dance, and whatever sweetness wants to emerge.
- Lean back, look up, and enjoy the stars in the dark, quiet sky.
Nothing is mandatory, but to breathe and be authentically you, whether that is in the middle of the circle or on the edge of it. Both are welcome here.

Inspired by Transformative Events
Before Resonate Sunshine, we were burners (helped create Emergence in SC) and led playshops at transformative festivals. We were bhakti bhu-sakhyas (devotional earth companions) before we had words for it and often said “it’s time to stop burning and start building” and that’s what we’re doing here.
The ethos of the regional burns is expanded here:
- Radical self-expression, (community based) self-reliance, and belonging
- Decommodification (note there is no ticket fee here) and Gifting
- Participation, Communual effort, and Civic Responsibility
- Temporary, intentional community that Leaves a Positive Trace and is rooted in Consent and Loving Respect for all
Camp & Create is a chance to taste that creative, collaborative magic in a gentle, nature-centered container where campfire warmth and forest listening take precedence.
Who Is This For?
Camp & Create is especially for you if:
- Your nervous system is asking for slowness, safety, and space.
- You feel most alive when creating, collaborating, or communing with nature.
- You’ve been craving real community that’s kind, spiritually curious, and down-to-earth.
- You love the idea of helping build something, literally and energetically, that will support future retreats and gatherings.
You can come alone, with a partner, or with a trusted friend. All are welcome, but as this is an experiment and free, we do have a simple application process.
