Being Still and Growing Sweetness
Welcome to February, Framily! January was a whirlwind of a month, but also one of direct reminders to slow down. If you’re going anywhere, it’s not quickly in the snow! This poem in the image (remove full screen if it’s not showing) came in a dream, an eco-spiritual reminder to just be and know all is well.
February begins with celebrating the Snow Full Moon that graces us during Imbolc, the sacred midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox. This is a potent portal for release and renewal. Let what no longer serves you melt away like winter’s snow… watering what nourishes your soul to emerge and flourish like spring flowers.
What are you releasing and watering in this season of your life? 🌕🌷✨
We’re releasing the fear of visibility and calling in more sweetness this month. Join us for a special new moon celebration on Valentine’s Day, a sacred space for all beloveds (yes this means you)! Together, we will nurture our connection to the earth and each other with gentle partner stretches. Plant your intentions into strawberries and take them home as a living symbol of your growth and sweetness. We’ll craft paper heart trees, a tender reflection and reminder of the love you embody. Our celebration will blossom with the shared nourishment of a community potluck and warmth of a fire.
The Warmth Within
The extreme cold and snow called for deep preparation, but we are grateful to have kept the power on and water flowing for all beings here. The greenhouse became a beloved refuge, soaring to 80+ degrees on sunny afternoons and offering a sanctuary from the freeze. The ducks were cozy in their temporary indoor home, the cats cuddled for warmth, and despite the chill, Nate and Duncan Dog continued their daily meditations at the swimming hole, a testament to resilience and commitment.
Wellness is Delicious
Wellness begins on our plates, and here, we believe it is an act of love. Our food is regeneratively grown, nourished by a healthy ecosystem, and prepared with intention.
This philosophy inspired Worldpacker, Z, to create a beautiful visual story for us. It also sparked an idea:Â
 Would you be excited for a cookbook filled with our seasonal recipes, stories from the land, and wisdom that connects us to nature’s regenerative rhythms?
Sanctuary Updates
The quiet, cold days were perfect for inward work on the sanctuary. We have been cleaning and installing baseboards, finding deep joy in the warmth of cedar that we milled, routed, sanded, and oiled by hand. Each step is a lesson.
With this work, we uncovered mold beneath the old AC units. This discovery, while a challenge, is also an opportunity to align the space more deeply with our values by finding a healthier and more efficient HVAC solution. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, we would be grateful to hear them.
One of Z’s parting gifts was a beautifully carved bamboo, a perfect example of the co-creation that happens here. If you are feeling the creative call, we invite you to visit and explore what we might make together.
Our hands and hearts are open to support in other areas as well, including:
* Earthworks & Permaculture Gardening
* Electrical & Mechanical
* Natural Building & Solar Installation
Whether through donations, volunteering your skills, or sharing our story, your support ignites transformation. Thank you for radiating with us and keeping the fire of a vibrant, regenerative way of living alive!
The Sanctuary has also been blessed by a Mama Gaia statute after blessing The Atomic Squid in Russellville. If you’re going that way, check out all the beautiful things Niki and Josh have created and curated.
We are so excited about the possibilities ahead and look forward to reconnecting with you soon, whether at the New Moon Celebration or beyond.
